Blogging is a main component of my gig at WJBQ Q97.9. I produce at least two blogs per day to drive traffic to the website. The blog becomes on-air content as well, with cross-channel promotion between on-air to online. I write about local topics such as road trip ideas, Maine's breathtaking natural scenery, new restaurants, and other foodie topics. My articles make the Facebook audience tag their friends and say, "Let's do this!" Many of my blog feature original research and photography, while others utilize crowd sourced information and photos found on social media. Blog performance is measured by local unique views, encompassing views from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York.
